Five weeks has flown by since Flame Off 2012. What a wonderful experience that was . Demonstrating alongside Patti Walton, Claudia Trimbur-Pagel, Emma Mackintosh and Jan Rigden Clay was a truly amazing experience and one I never will forget. I truly don't think bead making can get any better than that it has to be the highlight of my bead making career.
I was asked to run a class the day before and that was possibly the best part of the whole experience. It was the first time I had taught a technique based class and it was great fun and very much enjoyed by the 10 lovely people that attended.
It's a class I would love to run again some time in the future.

I did two demonstrations, first on Friday was my 'Harlequin Cab' technique followed by last thing on Saturday my 'Folklore Beads '

It was a truly fantastic few days and my thanks to Martin, Theresa and Emma for inviting me and giving me such a wonderful opportunity .
So whats been happening since then :)
I was approached while at Flame Off by a friend who asked me to make her a popper for a belt she was wearing.
And then ...... She introduced me to more friends ....
And those friends wanted some too ......
Now you see where this is going ?

For the last few weeks I have been making 'Mango Pops' and I am delighted to say they have been very popular. These are the ones I have made so far .

I have been selling my 'pops' through my EtsyShop
We have located a supply of poppers which are also available for sale.
Our very own cab mandrel happens to be the exact size needed to make compatible shaped cabs for the popper we sell.
It's still very much work in progress, but it was time to update you all as I am aware that some people will be wondering what's been happening since Flame Off :)
So that's it, I'm hoping the poppers will appeal to sewers and knitters as well as collectors of jewellery. The popper we sell comes with a socket base with holes all ready to be sewn onto fabric or knitting .... It's a great adaptation of the traditional popper.
If you would like to know if my 'pops' will fit a system you have then please contact me .
